The Department’s research activities focus on the development, improvement, and application of both traditional and modern biotechnological processes in the fields of bioenergy, environmental biotechnology and conservation technologies, plant biotechnology, animal biotechnology, and veterinary biotechnology, including the use of nanobiotechnologies.

Scientific research is conducted in collaboration with domestic and international research institutes, educational institutions, and enterprises, including: the State Research and Control Institute of Veterinary Preparations and Feed Additives (Lviv, Ukraine); Institute of Animal Biology, National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv, Ukraine); Institute of Cell Biology, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv, Ukraine); PJSC “Enzym” (Lviv, Ukraine); LLC “Explodgen” (Lviv, Ukraine); Lviv Regional State Laboratory of Veterinary Medicine; National University “Lviv Polytechnic” (Lviv, Ukraine); Rzeszów University (Republic of Poland); and Lublin Medical University (Republic of Poland).
