Acting Head of Department: Lesia Pavlivna Kushnir, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor

In 2017, the department licensed a new educational program in “Tourism” at both the first and second levels of higher education at the university. In connection with this, a new department—the Department of Ukrainian History, Economic Theory, and Tourism—was established on the basis of the Department of Ukrainian History and Economic Theory, with Associate Professor Lesia Pavlivna Kushnir appointed as its head.

The faculty members of the department ensure the delivery of the educational process across a wide range of disciplines, including: Fundamentals of Tourism Studies; Tourism and Local Lore Activities; Accounting and Analysis of Tourist Organizations; Geography of the Service Sector; Organization of Agrotourism Enterprises; Tour Operating; Ecotourism; Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage; Organization of Active Tourism; Organization of Tourist Travel; Organization of Health Resort Activities; Organization of Hotel Management; Organization of Restaurant Management; Health and Wellness Tourism; Tourism Safety; Youth Tourism; Green Tourism; Tourism Cartography; Economics of the Restaurant and Hotel Business; Business Tourism; International Tourism; Business Planning in Tourism; Recreational Complexes of the World; Applied Research in Tourism; Tourism Policy; Organization of Tourist Destinations, among others.
