Head of Department: Professor, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Orysia Yosypivna Tsisaryk

The Department operates a teaching and research laboratory and several affiliated units, including at the dairy company “Halychyna,” the Sambir Dairy Plant, LLC “Mukko,” the craft cheese producers “Chesny Syr” and “Lemberg Cheese,” as well as the Laboratory of Environmental Physiology and Product Quality at the Institute of Animal Biology, NAAS of Ukraine.

Faculty members maintain professional international collaborations with Hugo Kollontay Agricultural University (Kraków, Poland), Rzeszów University (Poland), and Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (Poland). Portions of the doctoral research of O.Ya. Bilyk, L.Ya. Musiy, and I.V. Skulska were conducted in the Food Products Department Laboratory at Wrocław University, while I.M. Slyvka conducted research in the Biotechnology Department at Rzeszów University. I.M. Slyvka and L.Ya. Musiy also had the opportunity to undertake internships under the Ivan Vygovsky Award at leading Polish universities, where they studied modern methodologies and carried out significant experimental research.

Recently, close collaboration has been established with leading Ukrainian educational institutions, including the National University of Food Technologies (Kyiv) and Odesa National Technological University (Odesa).

Faculty members of the Department are regularly invited to serve as chairpersons of examination committees at relevant institutions and as opponents for doctoral and candidate dissertations, reflecting their high professional authority and recognition in the field.
